  • The Acharya Blaze Corporate league is a leather (white) ball cricket tournament.
  • This tournament follows a league-cum-knockout format, limited to 20 overs’ and will be open to all corporate teams.
  • Matches will be played on Saturday & Sunday and other General Holidays November and December 2018.
  • There are 3 matches/day.
  • Semi Finals and finals will be having not more than 2 matches a day.
  • Timings:
  • Ground 1 (3 matches a day): 7:30 am, 10:45 am and 2:00 pm
  • Teams should report 45 minutes before the commencement of their match.
  • Captain or team representative should be ready on time for the toss.
  • Toss for the match will be held 15 mins before start of every match.
  • Match schedule will be emailed to the team captains and team managers. Any change in schedule will be alerted by the event manager prior to start of the tournament.
  • Any delay in the start of the match will result in loss of overs

(Every 8 minutes – 1 over/side will be lost).

  • Each bowler is allowed to bowl no more than 1/5th of the total overs allotted. In a 20 over match a bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 overs.
  • The 11-member team cannot be changed once the toss is over.
  • No delay to the start of the match is accepted after the completion of the toss.
  • In case of delay due to unavoidable weather conditions, the umpires will fix the number of overs to be played.
  • In case of match (league) being called off, due to weather conditions, equal points will be awarded.
  • In case of a knockout match, a super-over will be conducted. In case even this is not possible, the team that has been placed higher in their respective group will go through.
  • In case of 2 or more teams finishing the group stages at equal points, the teams going through to the next round will be based on NET RUN RATE basis.
  • Net Run Rate = Average Runs Scored per over / average Runs Conceded per over.
  • Re-match will not be allowed if either of the teams do not agree. Umpires and the management hold the final decision.
  • The minimum overs a match can be reduced to is 5 overs/side.
  • Man-of-the-match award will be presented post every match.
  • Other special awards will be presented at the commencement of the finals.
  • Smoking and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited on the ground/campus. Violation of this rule will be penalised by the ground authorities.
  • The organiser/organising committee are not responsible for any form of injury the player sustains or any other uncalled-for incidents during the tournament.
  • The organise/organising committee/ ground staff are not responsible for the theft or loss of players kits/valuables on the ground/premises.
  • Team list is to be shared by the captain/manager prior to the tournament. A maximum of 15 names can be submitted by the management.
  • It is mandatory to submit the names along with the ID number/card of the employee prior to every match. Failing which the players/team will not be allowed to participate.
  • Guest players are strictly NOT allowed. Violation to this rule will result in team being disqualified. Only bonafide employees are allowed.
  • Vendor/Contract Employees are NOT allowed to participate in this tournament.
  • Any formal protest must be made on the same day of the match, in writing. Considering and reviewing the protest will be entirely under the discretion of the organising committee. Their decision will remain final.
  • All other latest ICC rules of T20 cricket, as on September 2017, will apply in the Acharya Tournament.
